- Business Ethics

ABI H&S Services believe in operating in an ethical and responsible way. The performance of companies is under increasing scrutiny from various stakeholders. Many of our Clients and their clients are under constant pressure to monitor and understand their supply chains.
Reports of unfair or unsafe labour practices, corruption or environmental negligence in the supply chain can damage a company’s reputation and lead to a loss of revenue.
To enable us to demonstrate our commitment to this and provide ethical data we are members of SEDEX, a not for profit membership organisation dedicated to driving improvements in ethical and responsible business practices in global supply chains http://www.sedexglobal.com/.
The scope looks at labour standards, health & safety, business practices and environment balanced against UK legislation and the Ethical Trading base codes, some of which are stricter than UK legislation.
As a service provider the company is part of a global supply chain to many clients and has a responsibility to all stakeholders and the environment, to conduct its business to ensure the environmental impact is minimised so far as is reasonably practicable. Meeting its legal obligations in all areas of its operations, making best use of the resources available both human and from the natural environment.
SEDEX is used as part of the risk-management process used for developing and managing controls associated with the business processes e.g. hiring and paying employees, protection their health & safety at work and environmental protection. These processes and procedures assist in meeting our clients and the businesses social and environmental responsibility objectives.
